Started the week with a surprise release to look forward to! Sub label of webzine and record label Délicieuse Musique, Noire Et Blanche threw down roots for a beautiful outlet to start with Folamour's Fort Bellefleur in summer 2016. Following up with a fantastic deep affair from Loure almost a year later, we now have Tell up to bat with his EP 'Cool Bananas' set to drop in March. Tell has seen releases on Quartet Series, Wax Classic, and Banoffee Pies amongt others in the past couple years. Digital and physical preorders available on Noire Et Blanche's Bandcamp here.
Frits Wentink has been teasing his second installment of Two Bar House Music & Chord Stuff on WOLF a few times leaving the date a mystery leading up to 2018. Brandishing the new record on his Instagram Tuesday morning with a reminder to 'stay woke' the date has now officially been set for February 2nd. Preview Themes 05-08 on Juno and I'll holler at y'all next week!
A big 'spit your coffee out' moment happened earlier when I saw in my inbox that Tugboat / Star Creature / Universal Vibrations had done a limited reissue of their Talking Hevdits release. The Jkriv retouch of Girlfriend Is Better, is an irresistible party starter, that I have coveted for a long while. Hey while you're on Bandcamp, why not grab these Free Reflex Edits, even Noel Gallagher loves The Reflex! More chunky party fun from Mousse T, who is having a very welcome resurgence. His 'Rock The Mic' comes out tomorrow. So much fun to be had with this one, and the Kon version on the flip gets a touch deeper, for your soul.
Got a light list for you all this week, starting off with this new one from Lock Eyes out on Lost Palms. Lovely deep tunes right there, grab that one over here. Continuing on with the new stuff, I already told you all about this one, but Anthony Fade have a batch of dance floor weapons coming out on SlothBoogie's newly established SB Editz label tomorrow. I'm a big dummie and included my copy in with an order full of pre-orders, so I won't have this heat for a little bit, but you can order your own and sample it here, if'n ya like. Aside from that, I've had Kano on repeat since I recently found a few singles at the local shop, and holy hell, it's been a minute since I've heard stuff that catchy. My favorite so far is Ahjia, which you can listen to here. That'll do it for me y'all, stay positive friendos!
