Gotta throw it out to The Nail Shop for some really lovely tools and tunes across their catalog thus far. 2XM is the newest to the roster with the EP 2 AM Rendezvous and its a fantastic journey with the listener in mind. Some futuristic jazz atmospheres layered in the deepness and choice percussion bringing pleasure to all the senses, its a lean progression for the overall sound offered up from the Nail Technicians curating at HQ. You should peep the preceding projects Maniqin while enjoying some shopping or Speed Boat with a nice mineral water if you want to.

Been on a very old school kick lately as well with some reissued singles making their way into recent  shopping carts. Sent JP back to his youth with Global Communication's "The Way," a big churning chunk of house with a teasing vocal weaving in and out of this almost dubby affair. There's also the super cool "Sincerely" by Circulation, which was a highlight of that Derrick Carter mixtape I was talking about in October. Now go, wiggle with your arms in the air and bounce around till Sunday!

Kick off your weekend (shut your face, Thursday is the weekend) with ’No Worries’ a catchy groover from Jean Tonique. Then lets get all esoteric and fuzzy with Tom Tom Disco who just put out their 5th label compilation. As always, they deliver the goods, i’ve been firing our tracks from this label for a long time now, and their roster is always very impressive. I found some mysterious harmonic realness on QNQN, this is going to be well needed as the mis-west warms up - Ya’ll gittin-it! Speaking of heating up, I’ve been part of a collective that’s scheming for some big summer parties and when I hear things that I’m sure will go off it gets me grinning large. I’m fully Cheshire Cat about this fantastically bleepy Botan remix of Tribal Layers by Mel´e on Unknown To The Unknown. Embrace yourselves with love this week, and share it as much as you can.

I'm a simple man, when Earl Jeffers speaks, I listen. This morning, the UK native posted a link to a repress of his disco house slammer, originally out on Local Talk back in 2013. Special is based on a familiar loop that gets a dash of Chicago's special stuff, repressed by Kyodai's Beer label, highly suggest ya pick that one up before its gone. Next up is the 25 Joints EP from Ugly Frankie, a Polish DJ/producer that primarily made drum and bass for many years, but has seemingly decided to Kool Keith it and try his hand at housin' y'all. The release is full of catchy loops, classic deep chords and a good serving of bounce, so give it a listen here and pre-order over here. Switchin' gears, if you read many of my weekly blurbs at all, you'll know I'm a big Redbull Music Academy fanboy, so I gotta share an amazing one put together by Jeff "Chairman" Mao and many others. Nightclubbing: The Loft is an "oral history of the community that helped define the ethos of dance music". Can't put it any better myself, one of the most well rounded looks at the fabled party I've read. See for yourself at RBMA. That'll do it for me friendos, I'll be dancing in my computer chair a lot more than usual this week, since Overwatch released a new hero yesterday, plus there's a new competitive season that just started. Ahh man, I love that nerd shit. Peace y'all!
