Keeping on with the recently dropped, hot and ready tip this week, Reserve Not Met put out their second record since the release of this tune right here in February. Cool and filtery disco chuggin’ occupies the A-side serving gratitude and subtle cosmic funk while the B comes complete with two tougher flavored workouts. Downtown304 has it while it lasts. I’m also pretty smitten with this badass builder from Perm on the label Mana All Nite.
Always with a soft spot for a rascal, I’m glad I picked up Felipe Gordon’s Deep Fried Banana Ft Vagabundo Club Social, in and out with that silken production! I’m not even sure if i’ve mentioned the Ligai EP before, but even if I have, go buy it twice and treat both your ears! So much of he feelings on this Armonica remix of HUSO for Andhim. You can rely on those guys to get you there, even if your not sure where you’re going.
Discotron did the damn thing, chopped up some classic hip-hop & disco cuts, then infused them with that house business. In total, it's a fun, 5 track release for Tasty Recordings' second 12 inch sampler, peep the slow jam on that one too. Next up is a Ron Hardy favorite that I had to scoop up, Blue Magic's Welcome to the Club, also including a Tom Moulton remix of Look Me Up on the B side. Pure bliss, blues & soul, grab that one here. I'll leave y'all with the new Quincy Jones documentary, which does an amazing job of highlighting every aspect of the man's life, from his seven decades in the music industry, to family life and health issues. Make like a millennial and ask for someone's account info to stream that one, till next time y'all!
