Getting antsy with them winter warmers bubbling up to their release dates like the FYI Chris’s new release on Toy Tonics. Big fan of those dudes since Rhythm Section International put them on my radar a few years ago and following the stellar Snod Hill EP on West Friends a cooker is on the horizon. ‘B Glaser’ is weird and hard to brush off but thankfully, “it’s okay to escape” if you need to. The other various textures from that can be explored right here. Cult Edits numero 3 is gonna be coming in January too it looks like and its up for preorder on Juno and Phonica. Highly recommended after the burners from the second pack this past summer plus those snippets aren’t hiding any of the fun to be had with such flavors either. Last one is Lorenz Rhode’s new Belair EP, the follow up to last years Risa EP on Dirt Crew offers two new cuts and two remixes of tunes from past contributions on the mentioned Risa and the Deep Love series on the label.

Three songs in total, two are upbeat, deep and hypnotic, while the last track has some J Dilla inspired bounce to it, pick the whole thang up here. Next up is a wholesome read from Mixmag about Carista, the Netherlands' brightest rising star. After absolutely smashing her Boiler Room debut at Dekmantel earlier this year, she's been on a whirlwind of a tour, but this piece highlights her DJ career thus far, as well as future goals, check it out here. I'll leave you all with a soulful throwback, in Ethel Beatty's boogie bomb, 'I Know You Care', since I've got the wonderful Best of Uno Melodic compilation on the way, available here. Till next time y'all!
